The accreditation body SADCAS (Southern African Development Community Accreditation Service) is a subsidiarity organization of SADC. SADCAS serves as the basis for the recognition of SADCAS by SADC member states as a multi-economy accreditation body. It is based in Botswana with the scope of accrediting and certifying Inspection, testing and certification organisations in the SADC region. ISO/IEC 17020:2012 is an international standard that stipulates the minimum conformity assessments requirements for Inspection services.
